Marquayla Ellison, Owner / Graphic Designer
Marquayla Ellison is the owner and creative force behind Ellastic Designs, LLC. Her innate creative skills were enhanced at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM) where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Design & Visual Communication from the Peck School of the Arts (PSOA) in 2013.
After finding herself unsuccessful in securing internships to supplement her education during her freshman year, and with the amazing support of family and friends, Marquayla started Ellastic Designs, LLC a small design firm set on creating customs digital and print designs for small businesses, local philanthropic professionals, non-profits, and organizations.
Since May 17, 2011, Ellastic Designs has illustrated a creative vision for many clients including: The Milwaukee Health Department, Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, ACLU-WI, Medical College of WI (MCW), Rockwell Automation, Traci Braxton, Near West Side Partners, Running Rebels, and Milwaukee Film – just to name a few.
In 2022, she was honored as a Milwaukee Business Journal “40 Under 40” and United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County “Philanthropic 5” honoree. She serves the community by facilitating art sessions for Milwaukee’s Bronzeville Week Celebration, The Milwaukee Bucks, and Girls on the Run of Southeastern WI.
She serves the community as board member for UW-Milwaukee Alumni Association and was appointed by the Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley to serve on the Charles Allis Art Museum & Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum Board, now serving. With the split of these two county all facilities, she leads the Charles Allis Art Museum as Board Chair. She entertains her social side as co-owner and president of Social X MKE, a group enriching the experiences of diverse professionals in Milwaukee by curating distinctive social and professional development experiences. Marquayla is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., AIGA, and Tempo Milwaukee - Emerging Women Leaders. She was also a part of the Prostate Health Equity Project Team and chaired The City of Milwaukee Millennial Task Force.
